L. Auerbach: Icarus; P.I. Tchaikovsky: Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy; Shostkovich: Symphony No. 5

This concert offers a great opportunity to listen live to Tchaikovsky’s dramatic Romeo and Juliet and Shostakovich’s impressive Symphony No. 5. Both works have been, and still are, among the most beloved in the whole orchestral repertoire. Icarus by Lera Auerbach, a contemporary Russian composer, will open the evening.
