Lian Xue is a pianist from JiangSu Province, China. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree under the guidance of Professor Christopher Taylor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, majoring in Piano Performance and minoring in Early Music. She holds her Bachelor of Arts degree from Nanjing Normal University and her Master of Music degree at the Hartt School-University of Hartford under Dr. Margreet Francis. She also worked as graduate assistant for The Hartt School String Department during 2018-2020.

Ms. Xue is a prize winner of many international competitions including the New York Classical Music Competition, The Bach International Music Competition, Manchester International Music Competition, Vivaldi International Music Competition, Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition and Charleston International Music Competition.

She also actively attended music festivals, including Madison Early Music Festival, Madison Bach Musicians Summer Workshop, Obidos International Piano Festival, InterHarmony International Music Festival and Helen Taylor Johannesen International Piano Festival.
