Lian Xue is a pianist from JiangSu, China. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree under the guidance of Professor Christopher Taylor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, majoring in Piano Performance and minoring in Early Music. She holds her Bachelor of Arts degree from Nanjing Normal University and her Master of Music degree at the Hartt School-University of Hartford under Dr. Margreet Francis. She also worked as graduate assistant for The Hartt School String Department during 2018-2020.

She attended Madison Early Music Festival, Obidos International Piano Festival and InterHarmony International Music Festival in the year of 2019 and 2022, and performed in the master classes of Boris Berman, Bruno Canino, Josep Colom, Manuela Gouveia, Naomi Gregory, Beatrice Long, Christina Long, Karen Follingstad.
