Symphony Orchestra begins their second concert of the semester with Ayanna Witter-Johnson’s Blush, a musical exploration of young love. Dr. Lindsay Flowers, Professor of Oboe at the School of Music, joins the orchestra as soloist with Peteris Vasks’ rhythmic and soulful Concerto for English Horn and Orchestra. Last on the program is Franz Joseph Haydn’s energetic and joyful Symphony No. 104, the last of his “London Symphonies.”
