Eric Satie’s Gymnopedie No. 3 arranged by Debussy begins the first half and Minha Jeon, 2024 Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition winner, performs Sergei Prokofiev’s energetic Piano Concerto No. 3. The concert concludes with one of the landmark pieces in all of orchestral music, Igor Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, a colorful evocation of rituals and ceremonies from the early days in Russia.
