Adam Nissenbaum is a bass trombonist currently living in Madison, Wisconsin. He had a late start on the trombone, not picking up the instrument until the end of high school, but his success started early. He was accepted immediately into the performance program at the University of Arizona where he studied under Moisés Paiewonsky and Michael Becker. In 2021, Adam moved across the country to get is Master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison (where he is now in the final year of his D.M.A. degree) to work with Mark Hetzler with the goal of becoming more than a good instrumentalist, but a great musician, too.

In addition to having performed with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Adam is the bass trombonist of the Beltline Bones – a trombone quartet dedicated to the expansion of electro-acoustic repertoire. They have been touring since 2023 and currently have released one album (Audiogenica, 2024) and one EP (Carols from the Old World, 2024) for streaming with more on the way. Their next appearanace will be at the International Trombone Festival in London, Ontario in July 2025.

Adam’s mission is simple: to entertain and inspire.
