Katherine Schmit is a master’s student in trumpet performance at UW–Madison studying with Jean Laurenz. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Katherine graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Spring of 2023 with a degree in music education. She is currently employed as a teaching assistant for the UW band program.
