Hamel Music Center Name a Seat Fund
Honor a graduate, celebrate a scholar, or memorialize a music lover. What better way to honor a graduate or celebrate a scholar than with a personalized inscription engraved in copper and installed in the concert hall? Dedicate a seat in Mead Witter Foundation Concert Hall with a gift of $1,500 or more to the Hamel Music Center Fund. Seats are limited and locations will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
As a learning laboratory for music performance and education, the Hamel Music Center’s outstanding acoustic and recording technology will prepare students to perform at the highest of professional standards and allow faculty, staff, and guests to offer exceptional and innovative educational experiences.
True to our land-grand mission, our enhanced capacity to prepare, present, and capture UW-Madison’s greatest musical moments also will enable us to share our gifts far beyond the borders of campus.
Plaques will be affixed to the back of seats in the Mead Witter Foundation Concert Hall.
Each plaque is 1 3/8 in. tall by 2 7/8 in. wide, copper, and engraved with black infilled type.
Each plaque may have up to four lines of text with 20 characters (including spaces) per line.
Inscriptions will be in UPPER-CASE LETTERS only. Font size is 16 pt.
All inscriptions are subject to approval by the Mead Witter School of Music.
Donations and inscriptions are welcome until further notice.
Seats locations will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to request a location, please let us know. While not guaranteed, we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
Seat dedications cannot guarantee access to performances. However, most performances do not have assigned seats so we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity.
